I've always thought of black and white photography as absolute photography. You know, like how we'd like to see the world in just these 2 shades. But I've come to realise that there ARE grey areas in black and white photos, just as there exist grey shades in life but we refuse to admit.
So how do we define absolute? How do we minus out the grey parts? Then again, how we decide which stays in colour and which don't?
Who makes the final call?
